Public Drills

Our public drills are freely available, and have been tried and proven to work with teams that have players with a mix of skill levels. We are working to add exercises to some drills that can provide your players with a unique, interactive way of learning drills, before you even hit the ice. Check back regularly or sign up for our email bulletins to be notified of new drills. You can also contact us if you would like to develop custom drills for your team or organization.

In this drill, 2 players start from the center ice circle. F1 skates to the boards, turns around the offside dot, receives a pass from F2, and skates into the zone along the boards. F2 follows F1 around the dot and gets into position to receive a pass. The coach applies light pressure to F1 and F2 must adjust to make the pass at the hash marks. Option 1: F2 cuts to the middle and F1 button hooks and make the pass. Option 2: F2 stays directly behind F1 for a bank pass back along the boards. For both options, both players should drive to the net for a shot and rebound after the pass.
